These practices are followed by Banterra Bank and our affiliates, Banterra Insurance Services, Inc. and Title Professionals, Inc., and therefore, this notice will be applied to all.

Online Privacy

We collect and use the information you provide us online to respond to your needs, service your accounts and provide you information about other services. This information is collected in order to aggregate information on what pages visitors access and is collected for statistical purposes and to determine visitor access to secure areas of our Website.

Our Enhanced Login Security provides multifactor authentication at login by using a browser-based secure cookie with an individualized credential (ID) stored on your computer. The cookie-based credential is a unique identifier of you, the end user. It is encrypted and no externally identifiable end user information is stored in it.

Temporary cookies are used in the secure online banking product. The cookies are common across an entire session and you must accept all cookies while accessing your account. The temporary cookies keep the session live until you log out properly or the online banking product times you out. These temporary cookies are used as part of the stringent security measure in the online banking product.

Our Website uses cookies to track your activities. A cookie does not retrieve data from your hard drive, carry computer viruses or capture your email address. What Customers Can Do to Help

Banterra is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. You can help by following these simple guidelines:

  • Protect your account numbers, PINs (Personal Identification Numbers) and passwords. Never keep your PIN with your debit or credit card which can provide free access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.
  • Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security numbers, etc. to other persons. If someone calls you and explains the call is on behalf of your bank and asks for your account number, you should not give the information out. Official bank staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.
  • Keep your information current. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know as soon as possible.
